When the idea of creating the by Insomnia brand came up almost 15 years ago, it wasn’t just bold — it was also groundbreaking.

Back then, there was still a widespread belief that for something to be fashionable and good, it had to be… foreign. We decided to go against the current. From the very beginning we wanted to create clothes sewn in Poland, made exclusively from locally produced knit fabrics – and to this day we remain true to that idea.

As the founders, we had almost no experience in clothing production, but we had passion, a love of fashion, and a very clear vision. Local clothing production in Poland gave us not only control over quality, but also the chance to make our dreams come true.

Our goal was to shorten delivery times, to be able to personally oversee every stage of production, and to introduce frequent changes to our collections. These are exactly the things that were – and still are – the biggest advantage of sewing in Poland over producing abroad.

We’re also well aware that clothing sewn in Poland means:
- more work for local communities, especially women,
- a smaller carbon footprint thanks to shorter delivery routes,
- ethical fashion created in a responsible way,

And above all: very high quality.

Today by Insomnia dresses stylish women all across Poland. Our brand isn’t just a business project — it’s a dream come true. We provide work for dozens of people, we have a real influence on every collection, and we show that fashion “made in Poland” makes a whole lot of sense.
